Divorce Records

Not a lot to write about today, so I'll put a plug in for some local guys doing great stuff. Divorce Records is a DIY label in Halifax, Nova Scotia (about 100km's from me in Truro, Nova Scotia). It is headed by Darcy "Chik" White, who also sings for The Hold and is a really cool guy.
Divorce Records have been around since 1999, but just put out their first two vinyl releases this spring. The Hold/Gilbert Switzer split 7" and Be Bad/Attack Mode split 7". They also have a handful of releases on cassette and compact disk.

Hey, what's Nova Scotia like? I'm thinking of visiting halifax this summer
It's hard for me to say since I've never lived anywheres else. As far as a music scene in Halifax goes, it's okay. Some pretty cool bands like the ones with Divorce Records as well as a few others like System Shit, Gunt and Risky Business.
Apart from music, Nova Scotia is alright I guess. Basically a whole whack of small towns, plus Halifax. It's not terribly exciting, but I like it. We have almost nothing for record stores though, if you're looking for punkrock tunes.
